Fast service at this little coffee counter. They have a selection of classics as well as more unique flavored lattes. I tried the cardamom and enjoyed it. A nice chill vibe, there were people working remote looking comfy with laptops. The baked goods looked tasty. The bagel sandwich was yum.

The coffee here is just delicious! Consistently spot-on with the flavor & temp every time. Plus, the vibe? Cozy, stylish, and just the right mix of inviting and cool.

Popped in for a quick coffee and was very happy with it. I got the iced honey and cinnamon latte. Either oat milk. Really delicious. Isn't overly sweet. I also had a homemade pop tart. It has a blueberry filling with maple frosting on top. Super tasty, would get this again. The staff was super nice and made the coffee super quick. It's a nice space inside, good to come work, catch up with a friend or have a coffee date.

Got caffeinated at Prequel in Chicago. The shop has a really cool aesthetic to it. Lot of good lighting and ambient music along with a decent amount of seating. Would be a great place to do work. I got an iced oat milk latte and it was pretty good. The oat milk paired nicely with the espresso (couldn't been a bit stronger) but overall was a solid drink. Would recommend!

Came here to work remotely while i was back home in Chicago and the vibes are great. My latte was delicious as well and it's a great place to post up and work remotely or just grab a coffee.

Moved into the neighborhood in the summer, and Prequel has quickly become my go-to coffee shop. Their shop is beautiful with a good array of social/work spaces, great spot to work if you can snag something. Their drinks are spot on - ginger maple latte is my current rotation, looking forward to what they bring for winter. All their sandwiches are consistently great (breakfast sandwich is A+), and the pastries have a great balance of classics and fun, interesting options. But the biggest perk is their service - great team, especially the baristas, so friendly and efficient, nice to have a little oasis. Only wish they were open later during the week, but not a real issue :)

Was in the area for an appt and needed a spot to do some work. I ordered a cold brew and avocado toast. Both were good and it was nice to have the coffee served in a glass since I was staying. A good number of tables and many people working or conversing on a Friday afternoon. The front had a lot of light from the big windows. Staff was friendly. Will definitely be back when I'm in this area of town!

Came to prequel cafe on a weekday morning to do some work with a friend and loved it! The ambience inside is bright, clean, comfortable and not too loud. The drinks themselves were great - not too sweet with lovely fall flavors, I could have definitely used a little more ginger in my drink but that's just personal preference. What a pleasant surprise this was! We actually came here because our go-to spot was closed, and we ended up getting really lucky because this place is a gem. I just ordered a simple drip coffee on just another Monday, and man I think it might've been my favorite drip coffee I've ever had. Tasted very much like dark chocolate. I've been wondering about it ever since! Not sure what it was or how they do it, but I really enjoyed it. The vibe & the decor is on point. They have some fun artwork around. Stayed to enjoy our coffee & play some cards and it was real comfortable. There were others getting some work done and chatting. Left with some breakfast sandwiches to go. I will say it's not cheap, and the sandwiches took a little while for them to make, but it certainly is delicious. Breakfast deluxe sandwich was awesome. A breakfast sandwich with pastrami & other goodness is great! I wasn't expecting to be blown away like I was. Maybe someday when we're in town we'll be back for another drip!
